Breakfast. Check out and proceed towards Stryn. Drive through stunning Norwegian nature. Next stop will be Lillehammer, a winter olympic city in 1994. 15 minutes break. Drive further to Otta. Next on the schedule will be Stryn, with couple of stops before we arrive there. Arrivel Stryn, Check inn at the hotel. Resting time
The Briksdal glacier is one of the most accessible and best known arms of the Jostedalsbreenglacier. Briksdalsbreen is located in the municipality of Stryn in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. The glacier lies on the north side of the Jostedalsbreen, in Briksdalen (the Briks valley) which is located at the end of the Oldedalen valley, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the village of Olden. It is located inside Jostedalsbreen National Park. Next on the schedule will be Briksdalsbreen. You hire small cars which have space for 7 people and drive towards glacier – so several cars can drive together. Get on the top and enjoy the view. Further journey will be to Loen Skylift which is a spectacular new attraction and adventure arena, at the inner part of the Nordfjord, in the heart of Fjord Norway. A Cable Car will lift you from the fjord to 1011 m so you can enjoy the views of the fjord landscape as well as exploring in the mountains. In the evening will go back to the Hotel.
Imagine standing on a mountain top, breathing good mountain air and enjoying the views of snow-covered mountains and the Geirangerfjord, which is part of the West Norwegian Fjords UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can experience all this – and more – at Dalsnibba. And guess what? You don’t even need to walk a single step.
Arrival Geiranger. You would have to be exceptionally blasé if you failed to be impressed by this astounding creation of Mother Nature, emphasised by the will of man to maintain a foothold on the steep mountain sides and glean a living here. Impressive waterfalls cast cascades of thundering water from almost vertical mountain sides. The famous falls De syv søstrene (“the Seven Sisters”), Friaren (“the Suitor”) and Brudesløret (“the Bridal Veil”) tease the cliffs with feather-light sheer veils of mist whose mission is to create a never-ending display of changing rainbows to fill you with delight and wonder. The area’s unique natural surroundings were created during a succession of ice ages, when glaciers carved out deep fjords and shaped the high mountains – and it is not a coincidence that the Geirangerfjord today often appears on lists of the most spectacular places in the world. You can take Ferry to Hellesylt.
After breakfast, check out and start driving towards Bergen . Drive the old mountain road to reach Stegasetin viewpoint. The spectacular viewing point Stagastein offers splendid panoramic views of the fjord and a unique closeness to nature. Before Voss take a stop at Tvindefossen Waterfall.
Tvindefossen is a waterfall near Voss, Norway. It is 12 km from Voss on the road to Flåm. The many-stranded waterfall, usually said to be 152 m high, but likely only 110 m, is formed by a small stream, the Kroelvi, tumbling over a receding cliff. It is famous for its beauty. Take a stop in Voss and explore on your own. In the evening, arrive Bergen and check in at the hotel.
After breakfast, take a ferry to Jondal, and drive further towards Folgefonna Glacier. Situated on the southern shore of the beautiful Hardangerfjord in Hordaland County, Folgefonna National Park boasts one of Norway’s largest glaciers. In words and stunning images, Folgefonna, the third largest glacier on mainland Norway, is the heart of the national park. Exotic and dramatic, this magnificent glacier has drawn tourists since 1833. Here are glacier tongues and ice falls, wild valleys, and raging rivers of rushing melt water and scenic summer pastures. After the glacier, we drive back to Jondal downtown and then drive further towards Laatefossen. We will stop at Odda. Låtefossen or Låtefoss is a waterfall located in the municipality of Odda in Hordaland County, Norway. The 165-metre (541 ft) tall waterfall is unique and thus it is a well- known tourist attraction in the area. It is special in that it consists of two separate streams flowing down from the lake Lotevatnet, and as they fall, the join together in the middle of the waterfall, just before going under the Norwegian National Road, making for a spectacular (and wet) view as one drives over the old, stone, six-arched bridge. After Laatefossen, drive back to the hotel in Bergen.
After breakfast, in Bergen, you can take Fløybanen mountain train, and see the scenic view of Bergen. There will be free time to explore the city center and the Fish market.
Check out, start driving and stop at Vøringsfossen Waterfall, The Vøringsfossen Waterfall has a free fall of 145 meters and a total fall of 182 meters, and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. To witness the huge volumes of water from the Hardangervidda plateau drop to the valley of Måbødalen below is an impressive sight in natural and idyllic surroundings. You can have Lunch on the way to Oslo. Måbødalen is narrow and steep, and this beautiful valley stretches from Eidfjord through to Hardangervidda, where it is possible to see the waterfall from the bottom of the valley. There used to be several roads passing through Måbødalen, and in the 1780’s stone steps were built (1300 in total) to make the journey easier. Then we start driving through Geilo. Geilo is a town in southern Norway known for ski resorts and mountain trails. It’s a gateway to 2 national parks. The nearest, Hallingskarvet National Park, is characterized by steep cliffs and shelters arctic foxes. A trail climbs to a cabin built by Norwegian philosopher Arne Næss. Southwest of town, the vast Hardangervidda National Park, with its massive plateau, has wild reindeer herds and many lakes and rivers. Arrival back to Oslo in the evening and check inn at the hotel and rest.
Check out and transfer to the Oslo International Airport for departure with tons of unforgettable memories.
