The National Theatre is located in Oslo, Norway. The theatre is the largest and most projecting venue of performing live performance and art. The first performance in this theatre was performed in 1899. It’s one of the most unique and important cultural institution and a part of
Norwegian history since the day it’s born.

The theatre has been the most fascinating and entertaining destination for the tourists of Norway. Portraying the immense creativity and passion of Art and Skill. The theatre got its base concrete once the Norwegian government announced its support in 1929. The National Theatre has been managed by 22*Directors, currently being managed by Hanne Tomta.
The location of this building is the main attention-grabbing point. This Historic theatre is placed between the Royal Palace Oslo and The Parliament of Norway. The credit of it’s brilliant design goes to the architect Henrik Bull.
The National Theatre is based over four stages, the main stage (Hovedscenen), the amphitheatre (Amfiscenen) and Painting Parlour (Malersalen). Whereas the fourth stage is Torshov theatre (Torshovteatret).
The theatre’s main entrance is guarded by statues of the famous Norwegian writers Henrik Ibsen and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson they also have their names engraved on the facade of the theatre along with the Norwegian playwright’s name Ludvig Hoiberg.
The National theatre has hosted many large celebrations of Norwegian history. It’s been amongst the most famous and ancient buildings of Norway and carries a great value in the Norwegian traditions. However, the display of performing arts and skill makes this theatre the most fascinating for the people who have come from all around the globe just to witness the
tradition of Norway.
